  "abstract": "MARCO-BOLO Work Package 1 (WP1) set out to improve the discoverability, interoperability and long-term reuse of marine biodiversity data and metadata generated and mobilised across the project. Rather than focusing solely on the publication of individual datasets, WP1 developed and demonstrated a project-centric approach to data stewardship, creating a FAIR-aligned metadata catalogue and associated knowledge graph capable of representing the full breadth of project activities, outputs, workflows, people, organisations and their relationships. This approach provides a structured and machine-actionable legacy that extends beyond the lifetime of the project and remains available for future integration into evolving European and international biodiversity data frameworks.",
